speedo runs off the wheel, revs off the engine, both on twirly cables, so no hassle with yer loom. The blocks for the lights and switches will take some sleuthing I would have thought, but Steve sounds like he's done it and its plug n play, if so what a winner. Post 31k things get more interesting but 31k and LC both have twirly cable revs so easier.

I've just wired up my 31k to LC clocks, and F2 switch gear, talk about giving myself a challenge !
Anyway, its fairly straight forward, although you do need to remove/replace the connector blocks as some of the wires are connected up differently to the LC clocks/31K loom, the good news is that the bulk of the wires colour coding is the same, e.g. black/red goes to black/red, dark green goes to dark green.
what you will find is that the 31K has at least 1 extra wire (which is redundant with the LC clocks), and the ones on the 31k loom are brown's, also, you will need to loop a couple of earth's into one connection, I made a small connector loom up to save me chopping etc, but still had to swap some connector blocks etc as the wires had to be moved etc.
If your going to do it then I'd strongly advise to purchase the Hitachi type block connectors etc and also have the roght crimping pliers so that you make up the connectors, once its all done it looks like it has always been that way.
Also, if your pretty good with electrics then have a multimeter to hand so tha you can work out which are switched lives and which are permanent lives, as its not obvious as they are generally all brown wires !, also helps if you have the wiring diagrams for both bikes to hand so that you can work it out !
It took me approx 4hrs to sort it all out and make the new connectors etc
Whereabouts are you?, if your nearby your welcome to pop round and have a look etc

Spending time working out what goes where and then checking and making up a new sub loom should be seen as a fun job with great satisfaction at the end. I like that kind of work. For my next bike, Im building my own loom.

simply fit an lc2 loom to the lc clocks steve Only trouble is its a brand new gen 31k loom that's already been fitted Steve I meant fit an Lc2 clock loom to the lc clocks. Usually on ebay for around a tenner. It has the same amount of idiot light and clock lights as well as the reed switch for the speedo. You will have to cut the ring connectors off the lc2 loom and join to the 3 wires for the temp gauge. Some wires may need lengthened to reach but extra length can be lost in the cases. This is what I do when fitting N/TZR clocks to an Lc2 Steve

No cutting of lc loom, only need to join the 3 temp wires from the tacho to the lc2 loom. Reed switch is a little glass tube fitted in the speedo housing to count puses for thhe self cancelling indicators. Steve

Should be the right amount of idiot lights ( L and R turn, neutral, oil and high beam ) and 3 clock illumination bulbs. You only need 2 on the LC so one can be snipped off. Steve
