Just a comedy observation, I have been reading a lot of the rebuild pages and something keeps happening, I want to know how big the last tin of PJ1 was because everybody seems to have used it

I bought a few cans from the BMF after it had been withdrawn from sale,(and there were loads left on the stand at the time) and previously cleared out my local 'old style' dealer too Still got about 10 cans left

I've not found anything better than Plasti-kote BBQ for exhausts.
But... Plasti-kote also do a "Super Satin" Black, that I've not tried, but would've thought it would be better for casings etc. than exhaust paint ?.

I agree about the BBQ paint, it's excellent. I tried their "Super Gloss" and couldn't get a decent finish with it. It just crazed all of the time, even though the parts were properly prepped and primed.

If you want gloss black then it's Simoniz Tough black every time. Gives a finish like powder coat.
Takes a long time to dry though, sometimes overnight before you can handle it

My local bike shop has just taken delivery of Pj1 its now back with new user labels, I thought it must be back on sale. Quite a few selling it on Ebay. And not taking the pi55(too much) with prices.
