"I wonder if the short exhaust was made that way to hide inside a fairing originally, so the bike, at first glance, would look like a 125"
I like that idea -it would surprise many an unsuspecting sportsbike rider.

OEB. I think I have one full fiche downloaded which is probably the one that you have. The others are on the site that I linked too. I had trouble finding the one for my bike because it's the RR model.

Hi Hello Mark, Cole did say that you gave the engine the once over when he got it. Do you know Neil Hastings ? Cole put me onto him for paintwork, and he has quite a history with Lc's, and has a couple of mint 4l0's in his garage, along with a very nice Mk1 escort. Did you have to do much to the engine on Ugly Betty ?

yes i know neil, betty needed a carb clean, oil change, and a bit of fettling to get it running, and ticking over nice, but i think it had a fuel problem from the tap ? not sure if cole sorted that out it was a while ago, most of the hard work had been done on the bike and if i hadnt bought your lc i would have bought betty for myself, its going to be great !

Hi Mark Cole has fitted a tap but it needs new petrol lines sorting, plus the tap is level with the carbs so I my need to reposition it. The bike ran well when I viewed it but I haven't had time to mess around with it since I got it due to a diy fest going on in my bathroom !! I think it will make a great special as all the hard jobs have been done. Great not to have to worry about a rusty tank on this rebuild Dusty
