Do we know if all RD350LC models had the tacho decal and the fuel tank decal fitted? I know that the rear tyre caution fitted to the chain-guard is fictitious, but some bikes seem to have the other decals and some do not? There is a video of a Mars bar model on YouTube of a bike with a few hundred KM and that does not have the tacho decal but has the tank caution? Also the sales brochures can be misleading too?

The fuel tank sticker would depend on what country it was sold in. I'd say the Tacho decal was present on most but don't know about all markets. Not sure what you mean about the chainguard decal being fictitious? It was present in some markets but not UK.

OK, thanks for the replies, on my sales brochures some of the tank caution decals are above the filler cap and some are below so I guess it could be either? There is certainly no tacho decal shown in the brochures that I have?

I believe the tacho decal & fuel tank decal was dealer fitted, not factory fitted.

That is interesting and would make sense why some have them and others do not.

I believe the tacho decal & fuel tank decal was dealer fitted, not factory fitted. Sorry to disagree on this one as I seem to remember this being debated on here before, but I know from memory that the bikes that came from the factory crated up to the dealer I worked for (Keys Bros in Worthing) in the early eighties already had the warning decals fitted by the factory.

I still have nightmares about scratching those bloody stickers off as a boy and the now knackered paint underneath ? Funny how we prefer them back on today

I thought the conclusion of the discussion was dealer fitted too. Seemed reasonable to me considering the differing placement of the fuel tank decal, you would think the Japanese standards would dictate an "exact" position on the tank.

Yes, some are seen above the filler cap and some are below, so it could be either of these or none at all.

Someone could always ask Kev (redbimota) what was fitted to his NOS 250 when he bought it.
