Hi. Does anybody know if standard exhausts can be modded to make them less restrictive.

Yes. But it means cutting them in half and removing some metal gauze wadding. There are some pictures of this gauze in situ on here somewhere. This was done back in the day in production racing. Don't know how much of a difference it makes on its own, as it was done with all the other mods. And Mars's suggestion is spot on

you could always check that the right exhausts are fitted to the bike restricted or 250 pipes or both

If you've chopped them in half, 250 pipes can be turned into 350 pipes The wrong paint blob wont slow the bike down

ken007 in Aus has some pics on here somewhere showing restricted German 250 pipes turned into 350 pipes. The baffle plates met with a drill
