I'd be interested to hear about this. I'm in process of repairing tank myself using Chemical Metal and a Tank Cure kit I bought at Stafford Show. I repaired a seam and a few pin holes using Chemical Metal on the outside. That seems to have worked. I've spent a few hours tumbling nuts/bolts inside it to try to clean up the inside. I can't decide if its had some sort of coating before, but i have removed a lot of flaky silver stuff!. Just completed a chemical wash, and its currently sat with rust remover inside. Its probably ready to be flushed now.
I want to be sure its fully cleaned up the inside though before i add the 2-part Tank Cure liner though.
I will keep you posted with how I get on.

I've just spoke to them (Hartlepool radiators) it works out to be about £250 for the whole process with 7-10 days lead they split the tank blast inside then reseal it and prime outside ready to paint! It's totally petrol proof. Sounds like the way to Go for me.

Sounds good if you was planning to repaint the tank anyway. The paint on mine is pretty good, and hopefully wont need a full repaint. Fingers crossed!
Let us know how it pans out.

Apparently they can seal the inside without damaging the paint too an that's £140 but dunno what they do lol

Have heard of Hartlepool radiators and the treatment before.
They actually cut a flap in the bottom of the tank to get inside to treat it then weld it back shut.
Only thing negative I can think of is that you can buy a mint tank for around £200 so if you are going to repaint I would prefer the mint one.

That's so very true, where would you find a minter tho? Not sure bout the ones on fleabay? Bought 2 last year. One was from koll123 off ebay. One small dent and mint inside for £200. He has them every now and then. Is he saltythecat on here??? People may say too expensive but you get what you pay for - mint is mint. Other one was cheaper and was really good inside but was shaped like a potato. Both now painted and look the dogs Steve
