Hi guys, After 25 years I find myself owning my first big bike again,- an RD350N1. I've had an itch to restore one for quite a few years and found a real peach of an unmolested example, in fact all i'm looking for at the moment is a very illusive RH pipe! so if anybody has one they want to part with..............I'll post some pictures of my LC soon. I'll take the opportunity now to thank you for all your future help as its bound to turn in to a horror story!
Regards to you all Dilly

Welcome to a bottom less pit for your money. Lol. I thought when I took mine to bits 25 years ago when I went to put it back together it won't cost to much. Spent a grand on it in the last month and it's only a frame sitting on wheels just now. But you'll love it and get addicted. Good luck. Calum.

It's one of the most honest unmolested ones I've seen, but to be fair the photos are making it look mint, she needs some work. But your right it's a great base from which to start

Lol, I agree she does look pretty good in the pictures. At some stage it must have gone down the road on the right hand side, the footpegs have scrape marks underneath and there's a dent the shape of the switchgear in the tank, and also it has an early 31K RH exhaust fitted, the one without the spindle nut cutout. Its been untouched for 3+ years and only runs on one cylinder (RH) at the mo, although she is making a spark so I can only assume its a blocked jet, i'll give them a clean tomorrow. But other than that its mainly cosmetic, I hope.

As much as I love RD's thank god for progress, That RC8R is a work of art, and is as hooligan to a 40 something as a YPVS was to a 17 year old. You just can't beat 2 wheels.

You will struggle to find one so if you are going to paint them it may be worth picking up a scrap N/F pipe and cutting the indent out and welding it into the Lc2 pipe. Typically on my last resto I needed a good Lc2 right pipe lol Steve

Isn't that always the way Steve, like you say finding one that just needs paint may be a problem, I like the idea of just cutting and welding the indent sections. I work in engineering and we use a specialist welding company for various projects, I'll have a word if I can't get hold of a decent pipe. Thanks for the tip.

@ Dilly. as others have (correctly) said, your RD looks pretty good already. Prob just needs a light resto? Also V much liking the RC8. Thought they were `ugly` when they first came out, Now think they look the nuts ! probably gotten accustomed 2 them? much like the 08 fireblade`s. Couldn`t stand them when first viewed. however, imho, now look the nuts aswelll. Oh. welcome 2 the boards. only just signed up myself. Regards. M@
