I need to remove the paint from the fairings, so I can have those redone. Seems these have been painted over at least once, so I would like to completely remove the paint.
What do I use? Paint remover or just sand it down. Will paint remover damage the ABS plastics?
Thanks Kostas

Kostas Do NOT use paint remover or heat gun to remove the old paint - you will damage / destroy the plastic. You will need to sand it off.

I believe there are paint removers designed for use with plastic out there, but they may not be quite as good as normal ones.

Hi sanding is the way to go .My paint on my bikini fairing hadn't bonded with plastic and was flaking managed to get most of it off by using the edge of one of those cardboard box knives .HTH
