Just buggered my speedo reed switch, so my indicators have stopped self cancelling, anyone had any luck in replacing the little reed switch?
any idea where to get a replacement what type it is?

cb250g5 Thanks for that information and the link, I have changed a few in my time too, I was just asking if anyone knew an exact part number so I could match current and volts. The link you sent is spot on for size, 20.5mm x 2.7mm
I Have just been to my local Maplin store, their part No. N30AD (£1.70ish) is close enough to the physical size for the job, it has to fit inside the holder, soldered in place and ticking away like a good'un when I spin the front wheel.
Next time I work on the speedo, I will pull the reed switch out trying to keep it level and square as it pulls out of the housing, I managed to flex the holder and cracked the glass envelope, that's why it stopped working.
Many thanks for the replies.

Robin, did you get hold of a switch? Just asking as I found one in my box of old bits of loom and would gladly pop it in the post if it helps
