Denmark is as good a place to start as anywhere. Especially if you live there!
Can't help with the cylinders though! I'm sure you are in the best place for advice though.
I heard you have long winters so should give you plenty time to get it sorted!

Here are a sequence of 'how to' Porting videos. Start with the Banshee ones.. bottom half of page. These are as good a ones as I've yet seen. Techniques and tools, minimal Bullshit.
