hi guys looking for some advice just received a tz 750 cylinder & spoke to fahron about relining seems there are 3 options reline & use ypvs pistons 350cc, reline & use dt 175 pistons 375cc or reline & use blaster pistons 385 cc, the last 2 options need a stroked crank what are your thoughts on what would be most usable/reliable not bothered about out & out hp, totque is more important to me

IMO a TZ cyl is a piss poor choice for..Any... Non Racetrack only, uses. Those were a chrome bore design.. No liner. Nicasil is a possible redo but neither simple nor cheap.. and the portings on those cyls may prove as not much fun in traffic. Torque? :-) Inserting/retrofitting a liner would be as Daft as fitting 3 pairs of work socks as a Condom. Rethink your choices.

I have some tz750 cylinders too. The standard porting is quite similar to 4l0 porting. I was going to put standard LC style liners in mine. Probably will go for 64mm bore to leave room for plenty rebores. Will also get some porting work done too.

If you go foe a stroked crank and cut the head to take up the extra it will reduce the severity of the porting

Id go Blaster if you spending the money to get the job done then it will cost no more to do this then with standard ypvs pistons . Im sure you onlu need to fit RD400 rods to your lc crank

I have a new set of tz 350 pipes I think these will be ok if I go down 350 route but will they be any good if I go down the 375/400 route?
