hey, newbe, that lc on your avatar, did u buy that from s.wales by any chance?? I most certainly did From a chap named Kevin! Have you any history/info on it - I have V5 and that's about it? Anything you can let me know PM Me - Some "Beforehand" Pics would be great. It's about to be re-registered in Guernsey (in the Channel Islands) There used to be loads of LC's over here - but most were shipped to UK for parts/scrap back in the 90's I'm hoping to rekindle some "Elsie Love" locally! Decided last night to have a bespoke seat made (my mate is an upholsterer) I was thinking of having a Yammie Tuning Fork stitched onto the top of the passenger seat, and an "Elsie" in italic-script on side of seat (Two tone Red/Black) but not sure if the top should be black with red sides and Red Fork, or Red top, Black sides and Black fork/logo. Some photo-shop to be done on Sunday evening I reckon. Cheers, Jeremy.

yes.always liked the red frame/wheels combo..i was going to have a bid on it,but decided not to in the end,it was only round the corner from me as well, Yeah - Looking at what some of the "Barn Finds" have fetched in the last year ( ), the fact that this LC had a Pro-rebuilt engine, with new Crank conrods, bearings, small ends, new rings, bore hone, and seals etc (we all know how these things soon add up) I reckon it was worth the asking price alone - the fact that the frame, swinger and wheels have been powdercoated (to a good std) is a major boon. Just the pinholes in the tank to braze, seat to re-upholster, carbs and clocks to find (and few other bits and bobs). It'll never be an original NOS-adorned indoors lounge-ornament - but that's not what I wanted - I want to build the LC I never had the time/money/experience to build, when I was 17/18/19. Should be a lot of fun! (which is the whole point eh?) LOL =- I'll start a thread soon in the restoration section. JB

didn't he have the carbs in the auction??? Just the bodies only - no guts, bottoms or tops I have some spare 31K YPVS carbs but they may be a bit or over kill - even with reed spacers etc. Plenty of german import carbs for sale - but there must be a reason for this - dunno what the spec diff's are, so have to play the waiting game...... But wait - this is post 25 - woo hoo - access to the for sale section !
