Hi seem to remember a thread on here about modifying pwk's for 2t oil supply, but cannot get the search part of the forum to work - keeps saying "unable to connect to search engine" Anyone point me in the right direction?
Cheers Nigel

I've done loads of sets, this is my method. Fairly simple job First, use a pair of pliers to pull the brass injectors out of an old set of carbs. On the L/H PWK there is a blank lug, drill this half way through with a 4mm drill then the rest of the way through with a 1.2mm drill. Glue the injector into the 4mm hole with araldite or loctite, ensuring you dont block the 1.2mm hole. On the R/H PWK the lug has a brass vacume pipe, pull this out with pliers then drill and tap to M6. Get a 6mm allen bolt which does not quite go all the way through. Put a nut on it and clamp in vice then drill half way through with 4mm drill then the rest of the way through 1.2mm. Glue this into the boss and then glue the injector into the bolt. Leave overnight for the glue to set, job done ;D If you need a vacume pipe for the fuel tap fit another pipe, I used a non-vacume tap. Hope this helps Nick

Hi, it was me as well, I do it differently and easier
Basically I get a pair of the oil elbows for the RD400 and then drill the PWK bodies where the vacuum pipe is and the blanking point on the other carb in the same place, I drill the hole slightly smaller than the diameter of the oil elbow (think its 3mm), I drill straight through, I then tap the elbows in, they should be a nice snug fit, if not, just use some JB weld or your sticky stuff of choice.
The reason I don't drill a smaller hole in the bodies and go straight through instead is because the bore diameter of the oil elbow is correct already, so the oil is alreayd metered correctly
Takes about 2mins to do ! - but took me a while to come up with that solution !!!!

Cheers for that link Gary, Btw, had a look at my air in oil lines problem today, got air out of the pump when I bled it. Don't know if it was I didn't bleed it fully last time or if it's sucking air in on the feed side from the tank/pipe as yet. Need to check the connections are secure.

The connections of the outlet pipes at the pump are most important. The refitted pump needs to be bled a few times to get ALL the air out. Being fitted 'nose down' on the lc doesn't help in that respect.
