Hi Guys, Hopefully I'll get a picture of my bike to go with this request, but if not she's a std. 31k YPVS with different pipes. (The std pipes came with the bike). Thing is, she rides superbly BUT the front brake is absolute sh*te! I've fitted braided lines, checked and cleaned the calipers etc and even asked my mates to test ride her. They reckon the brakes were never great to begin with. SO, I would like to upgrade them and wondered if you could profer some advice? I've heard Fazer master cylinder? I've heard Yamaha Blue spot caliper and cylinder but I wondered what will actually fit? without too much hassle. I'm no great mechanic so fairly simple bolt on may be good, or a kit from somewhere. I'd actually like bigger disks as well, much bigger. Any advice would be much appreciated. Ta.

You could use f2 forks and triumph tt 600 calipers, they work brilliant, but you'd have to use f2 mudguard as well,I've done this to my 31k

Hi Lovely looking bike you have there, I love the black/red scheme on these and the pipes look great too. Unfortunately there are no calipers that bolt straight on due to the bracket spacings, unless you get really expensive. The F2 forks , as mentioned by Yogiburr have an 83mm spacing allowing fitment of 4 pot calipers found on later Tzr's, some Triumphs, Fzr etc. It would mean a fork swap and front muddie too, plus these forks are longer due to the clip on fitment so your bike would sit higher at the front. The other option is a pair of brackets allowing better calipers to be used with your existing forks. I bought a pair from NK Racing that allows R1 blue spots to work with the PV forks; Nigel at NK can do different brackets for different calipers depending on what you want. Worth giving him a ring/check out his website- www.nkracing.co.uk/. I don't think you would need bigger discs with these calipers as your brakes would be awesome, but I believe FZR1000 discs have the same bolt spacing, but I cant be definite. Dusty
