And i'm not referring to me here either!!!
What thread is in the casing where the dipstick fits?
I've wrecked two dipsticks now due to a dodgy casing thread & should probably run a tap down it!
I'm currently using a rubber grommet!

Not sure if you will find a tap the right size, it's about M20x3mm.

Rather than buying a tap that size, get a bolt and grind or file a couple of flutes in it. It's only for chasing the thread, not cutting a new one.

It's a standard M20 (2.5 pitch) Metric coarse thread. I've ran a tap down a couple of those after blasting/powder coating.
