I have been getting increasingly dissapointed with the powder coaters i have been using so looking for another one. Must be cheap and good, and prefferably in S Wales, but not a deal breaker

Yeah if you've got an arm & a leg spare cos that's what it will cost their actual prices are nowhere near their price list but they do a top job. These are also top notch but not cheap, suppose you get what you pay for www.aeromax.me.uk/used them to do my wheels, swing arm & side casing £280.00 inc P&P

their actual prices are nowhere near their price list That sounds familiar, had a similar problem with a well known LC parts supplier whos online price for Hagon progressive springs for a 4L0 is £10 cheaper than what he charges. OEB

OEB Well I wouldn't have minded if it was only £10.00 but somehow they managed to charge me £140.00 inc P&P to powder coat 3 calipers, nice job but £140.00 a bit steep

you could try my man, but he is in North Yorkshire (near York) so it would have to be posted etc, but he does top work and when he powder coats a frame you can still read the frame number, he also does vapour blasting etc, and his prices are extremely competative
His details are (Mark) Beevers Powder and Paint - 01759 318998
Give him a call, you might be pleasantly surprised at his charges.......and he masks off every thread and bolt hole so that you don't have problems with powder coat in the wrong places, he does a very good turn around as well, but he's always busy so the phone might ring a while before he answers, but don't let that put you off - he's also into old bikes etc, so he appreciates what they mean to us all
He knows me as Dave from Malton, if you want to mention that I gave you his number

I live 10 mins from Triple S and have had lots of stuff done by them and other/ Triple S stands out cos they always block up threads etc so no piddling round trying to get unwanted powdercoat from bolt holes. They do sometimes put a 5% off voucher in classic motorbikes and practical Sportsbikes :-)

Can't you go in to the coaters and explain what you require, or ask 'whats different' I've used both Triple S and Aerocoat, and both were a bit disappointing for the prices they charge.
Going to try someone else next time (Grantham coaters) but above all, would like someone on my doorstep, who I can just drop into rather than box up or trek 2-3 hours to get there. Found a local gate firm I'm going to try with a few brackets first too.
Worth a quick chat if they're local???

My mate did just that, took his frame and other odds n sods to two "local" companies who do gates and industrial products, they both f**ked it right up, seeing as it should last for years, id much rather pay decent ££ and get it done just the once.

Well I've gone to my local guy again. and have stressed that it has to be tidy. It doesn't have to be 100% as it's on my dirt bike. £60 frame and swinging arm
