Is there any performance difference between the aircooled RD 250 and the later LC 250. I know that bhp figures of the day identified the LC was more powerful. There are a few aircooled 250s for sale and they seem better value than the LC or Suzuki X 7, Leigh

Yes loads! ive had a RD250E and a RD250LC the LC is much quicker overall and lighter I think its only 5 hp difference but the LC has a better PTWR.

Agree with the above. The LC is a "better" bike in performance. They are in a different league compared to the aircooled bikes. BUT DONT let that put you off owning an aircooled. They are a perfectly capable bike!!!! I'm on my 3rd 250e & 2nd 250LC.

As Butch says ether will put a smile on your face But the LC is far better but far more money . so if your happy with an A/C just go for it I have 1 and still like to ride if from time to time and it's still fun .
