Well,my frame and wheels are powder coated and I have been busy cleaning, painting and polishing the smaller parts that I now finally have a rolling chassis with a wiring loom, while I strip and rebuild the engine I really should get my paint scheme sorted out. My original plan was keep it exactly the same as it is,with the silver stripe and 2 reds. However,as the bike is now taking on a very 80s stylie red, white and black with some shiny bits I am leaning towards a paint scheme as follows (please bear with me on this) . . . . .imagine changing the silver stripe to white, then doing away with the 2 thin red ones and just having a single red one at the same thickness as the white one? Pwfffttt!!! I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain. If I went with this option, can I just buy the YAMAHA decals for the tank and tail piece and the RD250 decal for the side panels on their own or do I have to buy the full decal kit and b*****dise it? Also, who would you recommend to take on the painting job? I have been taking photos throughout the build and will put them on here when I've finished. I want to put some on now,but every time I do I have ask my missus to remind me how to do it and I'm fed up with her shouting at me "Oh get out the way,I'll do it you 'kin spastic"

I'll do your painting job, I've got some stepladders and overalls and a selection of rollers and brushes. Or you could try Med on the aircooled forum, my 250E was painted by him and its (I believe he's rather busy though) And my Mrs says exactly the same thing "Oh get out the way, I'll do it for you, kin disabled person" But funnily enough its never anything to do with putting photos up.
