A second hand small end bearing on flea bay £6 from "fund for her" Or a brand new race spec one from Norbs for £7.50. Look on the aircooled forum in piston broke for information regarding the above.

I sold a set of used piston rings and a used piston & rings to different people. They were both from the opposite side to a blow-up and I figured they may help someone who is on a shoestring budget get back on the road.

don't get me wrong,my tzr 350 engine was built up from stuff that I have had for years.the crank was built from new parts.the cylinders were rebored to a pair of s/h pistons I had ,new rings.the l,h cylinder at the btm was cracked and out of shape.i dressed it up and had it welded up.the gear box was ok ,the clutch plates and springs were no good so had a look in the spares box and built a good clutch.had no power valves or bushes so got new.oh the cdi was suspect so got a zeel.built a pair of carbs from two sets ,then found a good pair three months later.when I ran it to the iom tt it worked out I was getting over 55 mpg.

I think I'll put a few pistons on eflay And include a strip of lumiweld with each one, so the winning bidder can fill in the detonation damage, and the fookin big holes in the centre of every one.
