forum has exceeded its attachment quota so cant post photo, i have got an rd350lc engine and frame numbers match as 4lo-2067** so its a 1982 i think. painted a horrible lime green but when i scrapped the green off i found the original colours and graphics. candy blue with twin gold and yellow stripes??? the yamaha on tank has a different font to normal and it says RD350 on side panels, i stratched away on tail and that is the same blue and yellow, the wheels are yellow so are the front disk centres. these graphics look original and fine so i can only assume they are correct for the bike, has anyone else seen this colour combination before??? i can send photos. regards Pawl

Get yourself a photobucket account and put your photos up there. You can link them directly into your posts and they will appear. It wont use up the forum's attachment quota.
welcome to the forum pawl

Black ones always look(ed) as Very Nice in the adverts. Not so much in real life though. Blue version was never sold in Canada.. mercifully :-)

I like that advert of the white LC where it says the twin cylinder 2 stroke has "a remarkably even power curve" No it doesn't - if it did, it wouldn't be as much fun!

thanks for posting photos, these graphics have been hidden for a long time under that green paint and survived a good scrapping with a blade to find them, they are not raised and seem original. the yamaha and rd350 decals are different as well. if they arnt real yamaha ones am not fussed but has anyone seen anything like this before? Regards Pawl

Mine's a Candy blue '82 model. My first one in 1981 was a Mars bar. I was going to get this one re-sprayed for old times sake but I actually think I like the blue better and would probably have bought a blue one if they were available in 1981 anyway. Wasn't there a darkish red one too?

Defo not about when i was riding them way back in 1981-1990 I would suggest it maybe a race bike paint job. Many racers in the day took the OE look and put there take on it. I have also looked here www.rd350lc.net/index.htm and its not listed.I restored a candy blue one in 2000 and still my fav colour

It wont use up the forum's attachment quota. welcome to the forum pawl I don't like photobucket. I used to have it, but one day I got an email from them, telling me that they wanted the right to sell (or give away, I can't remember exactly now) my information to "external services", or some bollox like that. I thought to myself "f**k no" and deleted the account. I'm sticking to imageshack now. I used to think photobucket was alot better. Years ago they were actually very good, the website was fairly quick and there was not alot of retarded spam-like sheise all over the website (and bare in mind, I've always used adblock, just imagine what it would be like without it! ). Somewhere after 2010-2011-ish, it just went crappier and crappier, and when I got that message I mentioned above, it was like the final nail in the coffin.

Thats not a yamaha standard colour scheme. 1980 bikes where white with 2 stripes in red or blue. 1981 had the same whites and a black with 2 stripes in red. 1982 and the stripes went to 3 stripes, white and black colours. The candy blue was only sold in the uk in 1983 as a 250 colour scheme.
