Can one kind individual grab their verniers and provide some measurements from the top of a RD YPVS head? When I filled my powervalve engine with liquids I found that I had a water feature coming out of a small hold at the top of the engine. I fudged it by putting a bit of pipe on it and melting the end. Now I want to make a pin in the lathe and use bearing fit to fix it in the hole. Can someone provide the measurements of the hole and the top of the connector? I dont want to take mine off as the water will pour out again and hopefully someone is busy referbing a powervalve engine so its handy to measure. Here is the bit I need, note the green pipe

That's bypass water until the stat opens. Don't you still need that?

Hope you've drilled a hole in the stat, if you're going to blank the bypass hose off.
That's an odd looking temp sender - what's the story there?

tap the brass bypass spigot in the head 4mm and put a 4mm s/s cap head in with a nylon/fibre washer.oh its a good idea as headcoats says drill a hole in thermostat flange.

The temp sender is for a Trail Tech speedo.

First I have heard about the 3mm hole in the stat, I know of people who have done a powervalve engine into an LC frame who just blanked the bypass with no issues.
But
I suppose safety first and all that.

As above, easiest way round the issue is to tap the brass stub (M4 from memory) and fit a suitable fastener and sealing washer and drill the stat.

Yep I will drill the stat but I have a lovely lathe here so I'll make something so it looks a little less heath robinson than a fastener.
