Have had my engine completely rebuilt by a local guy who is a 2 stroke God basically so everything is new...my question is...i have just fitted the chain and a mate connected up my clutch and everything is fitted correctly but when i put bike into gear and hold the clutch in the rear wheel wont spin..its still in gear..is this supposed to happen..there isnt any oil in the engine at all yet..i was under the impression that the bike should free wheel with the clutch held in..is there something wrong somewhere??
Cheers
Dave

Dave,
I wouldn't recommend running the bike with no gearbox oil; That said I would expect the same as you have explained as there is no drag on the friction/pressure plates within your clutch as there is no oil.

You wont get the wheel to spin free like that mate ,so yes its normal , of course I cant say your clutch will work either you will need to have it running first
