ether mate what ever you can get will be fine the 31K barrels are a little faster but everything inside the 2au will be newer and less worn

Hi, What bike is it going in ? If you are building a hybrid Lc, then bear in mind that if you want to use Lc clocks and you buy a 1ua/2ua, you will need to retro fit a tacho drive gear which means splitting the cases. 31k has a mechanical tacho drive already. Engines have got really expensive now, and even if it's advertised as ready to go, factor that it might need a complete rebuild. Always a bonus if you can hear it running first, see receipts etc. I bought a 1ua for my Hybrid build 2 years ago, £300 for the engine and £500 for a complete bottom end rebuild and that's without a rebore. If you use genuine Yam parts, which I always do, then these costs are easily achieved.
Good luck
Dusty
