I've not been on for a while, been busy preping Race bike for a weekends racing at cadwell 12/13/14 July. Well all didn't go to plan because on the friday test day I got on the gas a tad to quick at the exit of the chicaine and had a highside, which resulted in my flying through the air and landing in Lincoln Hospital for a week with a broken right lower leg (tib and fib) Ended up getting it plated and screwed. Time for recovery is around 4 months, the scary thing is that the leg after being plated has not even got a cast or even a bandage on it, just a dressing covering the stitchers making it feel very vunrable. Just thought i'd add a picture of my xray

Well what can I say about how my latest trip to the Hospital went...........50/50 really Consultant said I can start to put foot to the floor and try and walk, so i've started to put a little weight through leg whilst using two crutches but it all feels very weak after not doing anything for the past 17weeks, it will be a little by little hoping that it will improve and I can get to using just the one crutch. He did say that there was not enough bone growth for them to be completely happy with it and will see how it goes when they see me again in another 8 weeks. There could be the chance that I may need a bone graft on worst part of the break if they're not happy with it then So it's fingers crossed for then. JJ

Brian Simpson 01473 215905 www.physioclinic.net/Hi JJ, Please don't dismiss this, give it some thought... Call the guy above on Monday Morning. I raced for quite a few years and managed to break a few things, Ankle twice, collar bone twice, neck... etc etc. Every time I broke something I went to see this guy, he's also known as the 'Bone Doctor'. After the first collarbone that I shattered into 6 pieces, he fixed me and I was racing again in 6 weeks. he's the only guy who actually treats the fracture rather than just letting nature do it's thing. His waiting room is full of pictures of grateful bike racers, from Moto GP, BSB and WSB down to clubracers. There's speedway, horse riding and football as well.. If you're not getting the bone growth that you need, HE CAN HELP..... If you want to talk some more then give me a call on 07841 640976 Reggie

My problem is I should have gone to hime when I first did it but one of my problems is me being self employed and needing the money it would cost me to live. I am now starting the process of weight bearing with crutches and depending how I progress with that will decide if I give them a call to see what he could do and at what cost. Thanks
