hi, just rebuilt my engine and have bled the oil pump as described and fitted new clear oil pipes. when following the workshop manual for start up following a full rebuild I have insured I hold the oil pump cable so that the pump is at max to get the oil to the carbs as soon as poss whilst gently blipping the throttle,.however I have noticed that the oil moves up the right oil pipe painfully slow and the one supplying the far/left carb seems even worse. I have used a different two stroke oil to before but it is a quality one and the system bled. is my pump knackered?

Remove the pump and send it to Arrow (on this forum), he will strip it, check it and rebuild it! It will come back like new! I've had mine done and I'm sure others will comment on how good arrow is! Don't risk a rebuilt engine with a non rebuilt pump.......

i agree with taylor made.send it to arrow,it will come back better than new,and he can set it to flow a little more if you require,as oil has improved greatly since these bikes were first built.fantastic service worth every single penny.

The oil should hit the carbs within about a minute, as said don't risk damaging a new motor with a 30 year old pump.

I also read on this site about priming the oil lines with a syringe, seems to make sense to me, so i did this as well with mine. [a href=" |http://thumbsnap.com/KER6JSzc"] |http://thumbsnap.com/KER6JSzc[/a]
