is it possible to change the big seal behind the sprocket without splitting the cases ? i am not best pleased as my brand new one has failed and the motor has never been ran up

getting the seal replaced.as head coats said make sure you get it in square.

sound advice thanks ,its a 2 lip seal and its the outer seal thats gone so might be ok anyhow ,just bloody annoying that its a brand new seal

dont forget to check the condition of the steel spacer as that is the part it seals on, with a bit of grease around the outside you should be able to push it in by hand with a bit of force, better than fudging it up with a drift, i fit seals all day by the way......
