Looking forward to trying Arrows new uprated oil pump that he's decided to do. Will deliver 12% more oil from 3/4 to full bore, perfect for my Barlow 400cc 4LO. These pumps are specifically for big bore/Long stroke motors.

Excellent, a willing volunteer to try out a total first that's never been done before. Pump should be ready within about two weeks.

The uprated pump will have a longer stroke than standard. The standard full stroke is 2.15mm, the new stroke will be 2.41mm. This has nothing to do with the shim set up. There will be three internal modifications and one external modification to achieve this. Two of the internal mods are already done on the prototype pump. Maximum oil flow for 200 strokes (Yamaha standard) will be increased from 5.4cc/min to 6.05cc/min.

That's a good way to do it, better than TSS making new drive gears to turn the pump faster as it fed more everywhere. Need to get the minimum stroke on mine sorted as oily and a bit smokey pootling around. Never realized how clean a 2 stroke could run till I got the ts250x which makes next to no smoke. Steve

Plenty of issues lately with over oiling caused by check valves passing. Same problem also causes poor metering of the oil.

All the mods have been done now. Dry built with no seals, just to accurately check the new stroke. Came out bang on at 2.41mm. Waiting for an exchange pump from a forum member (I need the 4LO gear out of it) then the pump can be finally built and wet tested, then its good to go.

This uprated pump is going to release the tiresum shackles of pre-mix for me and other people with big bore/ long stoke motors, Freedom!

The 18% extra pump is now in production. Today I have started work on the super 25. You guessed it 25% extra oil. This will be the final up-grade I think (and another modification needed), for motors up to 450cc.
