hi guys, my bike has never run 100% especially tick over sometimes back firing left hand pot, but Saturday she locked up solid leaving me stranded 6 miles from home, anyway a nice chap stopped in his van and gave me and my bike a lift home, so today stripped it down to reveal this lot,,,,what do you guys think cheers Nigel this bearing seized up norbo crank refurb please,,,,

Steveh bike is running a pump,will be sent to arrow for overall,headcoats that's oil mate I think,with the running issues do you think if crankcase not sealed properly could that of sucked in gearbox oil? Crank seals looked good but will fit genuine Yamaha on rebuild though, cheers Nigel

Did you use Yambits crank seals? Looks like coolant has been getting into that righnd cyclinder/piston,but that lfthnd con rod has been running very hot.... Close ups of the crank seals & the head gasket?

Check oil is entering the left cylinder as it looks very dry in the case and like the others have said the bigend looks like its got very hot and dry.

check the oil feed in let on the l/h carb.had an engine that had seized up on r/h side and it was by chance we used another pump which had a different colour 2 stroke oil in and the owner could see the oil wasn't moveing through the clear oil lines.ended up with a new piston and I cleaned the bore up.

thanks for all advise guys, the worst part is I have a 350 pump refurbed ready to go on how I wish I had used it now, barrels are the ones marked one the carbs are 4l0-01 running 220 main jets but seems to be rich, micron pipes standard porting, i,ll have to see norbo and get the crank overalled, pistons, barrels look ok I,ll see what they are like when cleaned up,cheers again nigel
