Bloody bike, did 25 miles Sat night and bike ran fine, started it up this evening and throttle is sticking again causing the revs to stay high. Only does this when engine is running. Any easy fixes or time to replace carb. Rob

maybe you have weak springs in the carbs ? Is there enough free play in the cables.

The throttle has quite abit of movement before the slides start to move, I changed the spring already for one that had more tension. It only sticks in the last 5 mm and a good tap on the float bowl makes it return to the correct position. The strange is that it ran fine for about 25 miles, so maybe I will see if anyone has a set of carbs for sale. Rob

Maybe the slides are a bit worn making them stick, also check the throttle cable routing as this could cause it, make sure there are not any tight bends good luck Roger

had this happen on my yamagamma ,with the tank off and a bottle of fuel rigged up .when the bike was running and using the throttle the cables move about abit.in the end I made a bracket to hold the splitter with a cable tie. no problems since ,also noticed it keeps the carbs in sync when before I was always adjusting them .hope this helps rob.

I had same with mine once - secured the splitter in the right position and it cured it, same as Steeley.
