Does anybody know the primary coil resistance of the Banshee racing coils that Norbo sells

0.28 - 0.38 ohms I am led to beleive making 0.14 - 0.19 ohms when connected in parallel which is around half an lc coil

.28 - .38ohms is the pri resistance of the original banshee coil as supplied by Mr Yamaha. I don't think anyone has measured the individual pri resistance of the replacement coils. But they are working and I don't think there have been any probs with this set up. It would be nice to know their individual pri & sec resistance though. (for future reference ie testing)

Thanks Guys I was thinking if the primary resistance was too low the increased load would put unnecessary strain on a 30 year old CDI unit but as you say there haven't been any problems. I'm sure my 30 year old coil is tired by now so needs changing.

Coil is either shorted or Not shorted. Charge Capacitor within the CDI Can deteriorate with age though
