I'm not sure what's going wrong? I ordered the oil lines and clips from the Yambits kit and I had no issue? Don't get me wrong the pipes were bloody tight to get on but the clips were easy? Unless we're talking about different clips??? I've heard genuine Yam are a bitch to fit.... Hope you get it sorted mate

Any other tips guys would be great Thanks I had the same problem mate and gave up as started to damage the tube, as arrow says I think the genuine pipe is smaller outer diameter . The question should be , why do they sell it if it don't fit , unless they are unaware of the problem , think I will send them a mail

The link arrow has put up are the ones I used with the clear pipe from Yambits and no issues. I have just emailed them to see what they have to say ,, probably nothing ,, maybe a few duff sets with the wrong clips ?? Point is if you buy a kit you shouldn't have to buy other clips from them because the first lot don't fit

Had a few sets now from them and never had any problems with either pipes or clips. Only problem is getting them off again, normally have to slit the pipe at the carb oil inlet to remove - at least you know they haven't been drawing in air !.

Guy's, when you fit the standard Yamaha retainers you should push the "top layer" of the collet round so that it reduces the grip on the pipe, and push the same into position at the same time. If anyone needs the part number for the correct spec. gen. pipes, just ask, they are not overly expensive.

The prob I had with the yambits oil lines was how quick they go hard. Got them on ok but will be another thing getting them off where they hard (and discoloured).

Any other tips guys would be great Thanks Davey I emailed yambits & have had a positive response ,, caroline told me they had a small batch of pipe that was the wrong outer diameter and has since been withdrawn from sale and that they have gone back to the original supplier , she went on to say that having found my original order a new set of oil lines will be sent with clips that will fit !! Result! Worth a polite email mate

I ordered the correct spec oil line from Yamaha a few years ago. The stuff that came was more like the coolant expansion pipe, big and heavy gauge. I have found the best original looking oil tank to pump pipe is the fuel pipe from Yambits. Although the Yamaha outlet pipe is spot on.

Well what a doddle with the correct pipe & clips !! ,, one question I have , is it normal for the oil lines to rest /touch the barrel as it runs behind the pump cable or should there be some sort of clip there ??

There should be two guides on two of the casing screws.
