G'day folks I'm having a little trouble with my hybrid build. I've got hold of an RZ rear end and swing arm but the swingarm won't fit into my 81 250LC frame. Is there a solution? Thanks for any suggestions...

hi m8,you have to machine the equal amount off each side of the swing arm pivot points where it bolts into frame, from memory i think there is enough room to re-fit the original needle bearings but this might make it difficult to remove them in future so you may have to have the needle bearing recess machined down to.

Also...How does the RZ monoshock fit up to the swingarm?
There are two arms that come off the swingarm [one with a chain saver on it] and there is a second mounting point on the end of the monoshock. I'm sure I will have to grind a bit off the frame mount at the top so the monoshock moves easily and lines up with the linkage below.
...Confused!

You could fabricate a Ypvs style set up into the frame as you are using a Ypvs swingarm; This uses the Ypvs linkages and a Spax shock. Hejira did it for a previous owner so I dont know the finer details unfortunately. Dusty
