Have reached my worse nightmare..all the wiring at front of bike..there are two holes in headlight bowl yet only side light and headlight plug inside to connect...so what is the correct procedure...what goes where..i know that most plugs will only fit one thing but do they all go through the headlight bowl..hope this isnt too confusing what im trying to say..mind you im confusing myself.

The main thing is to make sure the wiring looks tidy, I think you will find the main loom goes through the bottom hole in the lamp shell & the clocks & switch wires go through the upper hole ,, now ive relized yours aint a 4l0 I could be talking bollocks

Hi It's worth investing in one of the laminated colour wiring diagrams you can buy off ebay. It's much easier to follow those, than the diagrams in the Haynes manual. Wires are colour coded which helps. Wiring isn't my thing, but I have worked out what fits what with the right diagram. Normally, the main loom ends in the headlight, and depending on the model of bike, allows connection of headlight and sidelight, clock wiring, indicators, horns, handlebar switch wiring, ignition switch wiring, front brake light etc. It really isn't that difficult if you study it all first. Problems with wiring is when you get a short or break in the wiring within the loom that you cant see. Then you will need a lot of patience and diagnostic gear. But if you are just reconnecting, it's straightforward enough. Good luck
