So like many others my 350 ypvs doesnt like to select neutral very easily especially when stopped.
I remember an article in Classic Motorcycle Mechanics about fixing it by replacing worn rubbers. I can't find the magazine it was in anywhere.
Does anyone have a copy or remember what it said?

you should have no problems sellecting neutrel, you should not need any addatives, and as far as I know, there asrnt loads like it. There must be somrthing wrong in your clutch assembley, its either adjusted incorrectly, warped plates, basket is worn where the ears on the fiber plates have worn grooves or springs are getting coil bound and not allowing the clutch to disengade fully.

Hi
Mine also suffers badly trying to get into neutral. Not had a serious look into it yet, but with mine I suspect it is the adjustment of the clutch. But think that needs the clutch cover off (think the basic problem with mine is that the operating lever on top of the gearbox is at the wrong angle, hence pulling the cable isn't getting the expected movement at that lever).
All the best

I have (had) the same problem. I stripped it down and measured and inspected everything. Clutch was fine, but may need adjusting (no drag though). Gear selection including back to neutral possible with finger tips in the bench when stripped, so nothing wrong with selector parts.
Replaced input shaft bearing as ther was a tiny bit of play - I doubt if this had anything to do with it.
My guess is clutch adjustment, but I have heard oil can make a difference. I was running 4T bike oil in the gearbox. If it still has the problem once it's back on the road with the clutch set up by the book, I'll probably try a proper gearbox oil.
