Have used the Por 15 3 part kit before with good results.
If it is not too bad you could just use the first 2 stages to clean and neutralize it.

Yeah POR15 for me aswell, used it on my tank 2 years ago & our shit ethanol riddled fuel hasn't peeled it off yet although since my pistons melted I've started using the high octane stuff as it's supposed to be ethanol free & I think our shit unleaded contributed to the melt down Definitely can't use it in my Aprilia as ethanol makes the plastic fuel tank swell up and it rots some of the rubber components in the fuel system, god knows what were supposed to do if they start putting ethanol in the high octane fuel.

Sorry to butt in but you are totally right with the shit fuel, only use super for the same reason. Here's a couple of things to make you think about ethanol in fuel. 1) had a tank that was mint inside. Stored it over the winter full on standard unleaded, had rust patches on it by spring. Apparently ethanol is hydroscopic so absorbs water but deposits it as the fuel goes off. 2) Fuel does go off. Left half a tank in my bike that was too rich on the pilot so spluttered on neutral throttle. First time out it was running cleanly so obviously weaker until I refueled and the splutter came back. I always use super unleaded and this additive its supposed to combat the effects of ethanol and make sure when she,s stored away for winter its got the additive in. Someone may put me right on this but I,m sure I,ve read somewhere that even some manufacturers super unleaded has ethanol in.

yep the stuff they laughingly call petrol.for the last 12 months I have been adding a stuff called etho mix in the tank.seems to help, don't seem to go off as quick.i don't think it will be long before ethanol will be in the lot .sure I saw on some forum some where the American boys were adding acetone to there fuel ?

I'm annoyed filled up with Shell V-power and it seems like that contains ethanol. Whereas Esso Supreme doesn't.

I have used Flowliner Tank coating and Bio-Rust Kit from Wyldes on the tank of my 1962 Triumph and it worked a treat. Click this link
