Hi, Anyone know were to get clear brake fluid line from (reservoir to master cyl). Got some of that HRC stuff from fleabay but appears to be 'sweating' - fluid is passing through (porous?) the hose. Looks like condensation on the outside of the hose after a couple of days but it is actually brake fluid

To be honest I've read lots of posts with the same issue which dissuaded me from using such a thing on my bike.
As Headcoats states, I too would say they are unsuitable for a road bike. The problem you discribe is probably not an issue on a race bike that continually gets it's brake parts changed.

HRC kit race bikes probably get that part binned after every meeting/race. That is of course if the one you bought is genuine HRC.

Got one from NK racing for the rear. Little bit of moisture when I first fitted it, I reduced the level approx 10mm from the tube cap and it's been ok ever since. Don't know about being parked up in direct sunlight ?, always tucked under a cover in the garage.

Unfortunately I have little choice as my airbox has been moved back slightly so standard one does not fit.
Do have a new Yam hose so may have to use a miniature res on it.

Got a reply from Doble m/cycles
"I have used these on my track bike and experienced the same sweating type effect. I wiped it a couple of times and it never returned.
Give it a go."
Must be genuine HRC quality stuff. Cannot see how wiping off will stop it from happening. So looks like the hose is going to get filed under 'Bin' Second thought - maybe if I use golden syrup as brake fluid it might be to viscous to seep through.

On my last build I tried several different types of clear hose & they all "sweated" or dissolved so I went to a specialist manufacturer of hydraulic hoses & lines, they told me there was only one type of clear line that is up to the task but it is semi rigid so it comes with a stainless steel brading sheith to stop it kinking, if it's a straight run it could be used as a clear hose, I still have a 300mm long piece spare if you want it, BTW it has an 8mm internal bore. It is thin walled & feels more like plastic than rubber.
