The boxes came as standard on that model, they just unhook and will be removed most of the time, real handy for weekends away though.

Very nice mate...as you say, you can clock some miles up on one of those..and have some fun in the twisty bits.
Does remind me of wee story, to some peoples surprise my bro uses his 996SPS for everything from track days to touring, we bumped into a bloke with a Multi not long after their launch whilst waiting for the train in Folkstone , being fellow Ducati owners, the pair got chatting, over the course of the 2 days , we bumped into the guy with the multi on a few occasions, despite all the gear and his sat nav and trinkets, he was either lost or about to run out of fuel, he even managed to get his self lost at Folkstone chunnel port when we first met him!

I've got a 996 foggy rep, but wouldn't dream of touring with it, used to kill me doing 200miles in a day. Loving this new hyper though, comfy, fast and great in the twisty bits, turn the traction off and wheelies like a powervalve lol

Nor would I mate, i can only ride it for an hour max and it kills my neck and shoulders& im much smaller than him, he's banged out 650 miles a day on it , laden with kit and a full burgen on his back!..and I thought my GSXR600 that I was on that time was uncomfortable. [a href=" |http://thumbsnap.com/JfYT4IuK"] |http://thumbsnap.com/JfYT4IuK[/a] After its last Euro trip in 2011, he took it in for a service and it had shat its bottom end..but seeing as it had done 30,000 miles, several track days and a few 3,000+mile trips to the South of France, it was kind of understandable.
