Gentlemen, I would like to share my current status. I have an YPVS from 1983. Got it bored to 64.5mm together with a complete overhaul and port job at www.ebos.se. Got som exhaust pipes from Kenny at TSA, Two Stroke Addicts. The bike runs like a mother..... I run 3% oil in the fuel. Started the running in of the engine with std jetting. Lean, lean, lean!!! I mounted an exhaust gas temp sensor in the right exhaust pipe, ~10cm from the exhaust port. Goal is to stay below 600 degC stationary and 650 degC transient. Currently I have lifted the needle to the max and are running a Main jet size 280. Sometimes the temperature closes in on 650 to 700degC so I am considering going to a Main jet of 290. The engine runs smoothly from idle to as far as I dare to rev it.... I´m no Kenny Roberts. In std conditions (before the overhaul), I was dead scared at full throttle and now after the rebuild I am scared already at half throttle, but boy do I laugh out loud!!! Any tips, recommendations that i need to know? As you can tell I am not a fluent english speaker, from Sweden, so bare with me.... => Andreas

Are you using an airbox or individual filters?
