Hi, would it be worth buying some of these racing reeds from RD LC crazy for a good price of £25 or just clean my old ones up with carb cleaner ? Any help welcome Graham.

If you have the old metal petals in place then changing to fibre/carbon is not a bad idea. If the metal ones break they can cause a bit of a mess in your cylinders whereas the fibre one won't.

agree with Steve, all engine rebuilds Ive done Ive replaced the metal one's if they didnt have fiber one in them already.

I've always fitted the fibre ones - I don't like the idea of 30+ year old metal ones breaking!
