My 350LC brake calipers wobble to and fro. I can see them wobbling backwards and forwards whilst riding the bike. I don't ever remember this on my original LC 32 years ago. Is this normal or have I got a problem? Everything seems OK and nothing is missing and the brakes work fine ( for an LC).

Hi Not sure about the shim as I've never stripped the brakes on this bike. Will check tomorrow. Thanks for your reply

The shim pictured is actually a shim holder of sorts. Even if it's in place it's possible to add shim between the two halves to take out any excessive movement. The holes for the slider pins can become too big also causing play. The calipers should be rigid so you shouldn't be seeing any wobble.

I had an advisory on my first mot because there were no shims fitted so the calliper wobbled around a lot. I just shimmed it to stop the movement.
