Hi guys Just joined, the forum looks the biz, as the Title sez doing a charity bike Run in aid of cancer research uk on a £300 rd 250..... 900 miles in 24hrs So here is my question the bike has micron expansion chambers I have the carbs stripped and noticed the jet size is 115 which are listed as standard, can anyone suggest jet size setup needle position also where can i purchase jets from the bike is An RD250F i was thinking of going up to 130 on the main jet don't want the bike to run on the lean side thanks for ant help advice offered cheers Colin ps you can check me out here www.thelongestdaydownchallenge.co.uk/I`m the one with the cool bike

Hi & welcome Cant be much help with the jet sizes , sometimes its trial & error , as you suggest start on the high side & work down if needs be . You can buy jets from norbos shop on here I should think or dare I say it yam bits .
Interesting challange all the same , the very best of luck & be sure to update us with some pics of the event ,

Thanks Delbert really what i would like to know is a safe setup on the carb, I would be gutted to have it melt during the run.... i will most certainly post updates during the Run, I have the timing set but as I`m not familiar with the Rd any advice will be greatly appreciated

Great challenge for a good cause - best of luck , will look forward to the posts ect. Sorry cant help with the jets but there are a few aircooled owners on this forum , I'm sure someone can help!
