Hi, I'm going through differnt options on my new LC project . I've been offered a complete YPVS front end and rear wheel. My question is, will it bolt straight onto my LC? Will the LC clocks bolt on and does the top yoke take ordinary bars as I want to fit Renthalls. Cheers

I put 31k forks and yokes straight onto my LC, rear wheel has a rear disc rather than drum brake so you would need to sort that out, in my opinion I didn't notice any difference either the front end on mine, forks still flexed under braking, I now have rgv vj21 front and rear ends on mine modded by nk racing and it is a different bike!

Hi, Ypvs front end will go straight into an Lc as long as you use Ypvs yokes, as the Ypvs forks are all 35mm. Any Ypvs forks will work with any Ypvs yokes, but you will want the Lc2 top yoke to retain normal bars and Lc clock fitment. If you can get the later F2 forks, the calipers from certain other bikes can be used, which means you can fit 4 pot brakes and improve the braking no end. The rear wheel will go in, but you need to get the Ypvs caliper carrier machined down to fit. Here's some pics; I know this is an Rd400, but it had a standard Lc swingarm with the Ypvs wheel fitted. Norbo sells a plate for mounting the rear master cylinder on. Ignore the wheel in the next pic, but the calipers are the the type you can fit to to the F2 fork lowers; Finally, a 31k front end fitted to an Lc, with NK Racing adapter plates to allow fitment of R1 blue spot calipers. Rear end uses a Ypvs swingarm which is a lot more work Dusty

Thanks for the info. Lots of food for thought. I've got a JMC swinging arm on the bike that I'd like to keep. Will have to find out from Norbo if the bracket he does for the rear caliper will fit. Thanks again. Webbo

Hi, The bracket Norbo sells is for the master cylinder to mount to; It's the caliper carrier you have to get milled down. Dusty

Thanks for that Dusty. Do you know if Std LC wheels will fit straight into YPVS forks? Cheers.

Thanks Pepsisteve. Sounds fairly straight forward. I'll go and have a look at this YPVS stuff. Just need to track down some rear sets now!
