I read that acetone (nail polish remover) does it, as I have a tank with a "liner" in it Id like to remove. I looked on ebay and you can by it for about £20 for 5 ltrs, or was that 1 ltr? cant remember. I have not tried it yet tho, so cant really say how effective it is. steven.

If you try acetone, just be care full as it will dissolve side panels!!! And probably paint as well. I reckon fire would be the best way of removing it, preferably done on the premises of the Sc**thorpe that sold you your van. Mick, there is a company in Preston that advertise they can clean the inside of a tank without damaging the paintwork.

Acetone works really well . I put a cup full in and gave it a good shake . Drained it out and did it again . The old liner came out in big flakes . Bleedin messy business though !

This fella www.tankcareproducts.co.uk/ sells a product i've used before works great. It lifted all the sealant off, some in large bits that i broke up with a coat hanger. Just don't get it on your paintwork.
