You could get that welded but is probably worn.
Was it NK or stan stephens that offered boring it out and fittind a thin bush.
I'll have a look if I have a pair of valves.

You could try plastic metal on the valve ends. Easy to file down and quite strong, might be worth a try as a short term measure.

Got them made in US last I heard as that's where my replacements for the sh1t cast ones I got from them came from. As for the crack, just silicone the bush in along with the retainer as the barrel looks like it has a groove worn in it anyway. Stan charges about £30 plus post to re bush I think. Steve

The ends of the valves where they join were the same on mine. I got them built up with weld and then re-machined to fit the (new) clamp. All but one of the bushes were very worn too, and the journals on the valves were worn & oval. Got the journals turned down until they were round and new inner bushes machined from phospher bronze to fit the journals.
Cost a few quid in favours from a bloke at work, but alot less than new parts. I think you can still get most of it from Yamaha, but new values, bushes & seals adds up to about £300!
That crack looks like your biggest problem though....

Might be clever to buy decent used barrels... complete with pv bits?? If thats' what the PV area looks like, It's likely the rest ain't great either.
