For some time I've been debating and considering the Zeeltronic curve I should use for my Athena kit and +4mm crank in my LC... the problem is, I can't make up my mind as to a good starting point.... 31k, LC or banshee?
The reason being that neither is really what I want... The 31k is a PV bike and the Athena is non-PV of course, but I am told it has a sensible (hence safe) curve; the LC is older technology and so less points i think, but probably safe and at least it is for a non-PV road bike; the banshee is more modern but an off road quad, not a road bike and most tuners of them are desert racing or doing 1/4mile runs, probably not what I need?
My LC has a Zeeltronic VCDI-04 in it, so has the original LC CDI as well and the Zeel is a piggyback in this configuration. So I can easily run an LC curve and add something clever or perhaps just a simple +4deg to any RD/RZ curve like a 31k etc. That simplistic setup is what some people say is fine and it's what you get from shifting the stator plate 4deg etc which people seem to do with a banshee... but that's normally on a 'shee stator... and my stator is LC, tho the bottom end is YPVS of course.
While I can load (10 I think) other curves and I was wondering what would be single good start paint that would be a safe base curve that means I can ride it to the roadworthyness place, get it on the road and then take it to someone who can tune it properly perhaps. I just don't want to kill the motor but also need it to run ok on the road and for heat cycles etc.
So, anyone have any info on the values for those curves and advice?
