just bought 82 350lc front guard mount is two piece is this original as my 81 250lc is one piece did yamaha change this?

cheers mars rest of bike is very original mudguard has 4l0 on underneath which threw me get original mount then

Liffy16, I have a spare one if you need it but the mudguard holes have been opened out to 6mm to accept modified stainless coach bolts, so it looks like this. I have some spare bolts too if you want to go down this route. [a href=" "] [/a] [a href=" "] [/a]

My guard mount has an extra piece at the top which extends forward into the guard about 150mm (does that make any sense at all?) and has 2 bolts that go down through the guard into it. It looks like it was always there!? Anyone ever see this?

hi dunc sounds like a aftermarket one as you could imagine there was one or two sold back in the day

For mounting your front numberplate ?..... Looks like it's been cut off a metal fr guard possibly ? Get the angle grinder out

It's been very well done for an 'add on'... Tig welded, and has the right radius. Maybe it is/was a numberplate mount. Half a kilo of wasted metal!
