If you had 6 bikes in a van, I wonder if they would charge you for each bike? (Bike owners go as foot passengers).

I managed to book a couple of flights for the TT only £69 each way and a 30 min flight time. Seems better value than the ferry.

People should consider the Isle of Man "off season" - when there is no racing on. You can often get the mountain road to yourself, amongst others. We went last year in April and early July, plus the TT and Manx. It usually cost about £85 return from Liverpool, sail Friday night and return Sunday Night.

Went the TT a couple of times few years back now (loved it!) but then me a half a dozen mates from work started going just before or after the TT and have a great time. Roads less crowded and cracking weekend! Weather pending! usually pay around the £100 mark for the ferry (from Liverpool) and £25 per night B+B! The only prob we've found is if you go just after TT they can be repairing the roads but if you go just before they're all done ready for the racing!! ;D Having said all that this is the first year they're all going without me! As I've just sold my sports bike and bought a shed of an LC to do up so got no bike at the mo!!!

Got well lucky, sorted a homestay for £30 per person per night + breaky right at Ago's leap.
If your looking for a homestay dont listen to the IOM tourist board who say wait till after TT, we spent two hours today trying to get a B+B or homestay.

The Manx and the TT get better and better year on year. I have never heard anyone come back disappointed.
It should be on everyone's bucket list.
