it is getting ridiculous.......about 7/8 years ago it was the twin horn set up and cover that were fetching silly money and now it seems to be the clocks.....beats me.....in real terms probably about 60/70 quids worth of clocks there.....it just makes it difficult to build/restore a lc......im off to rufforth soon with a fair few lc/rgv/rd bits and will be happy to sell em face to face for a fair price to an enthusiast.....f**k ebay

I think I'll break my 3k mile bike, must be worth 3grand in bits. If these clocks are brand new and unused then they may be worth the asking price.

They are just re set to 0 miles, the price is a piss take, this is no enthusiast, just a greedy sod who buys off forums like this and then rips us off. And yes i like to tell it like it is.

Isn't this the same guy who was selling stuff a few weeks ago that were over priced? I think he is the same guy from my neck of the woods who wanted stupid money for locks that fit just one key? I decided to reside myself to the fact I have to have 2 keys on a key ring. (oh the shame of it!) Just seen he now wants circa £170 for a lock set....I'll live with the shame thank you. Piss taking carrot crunching *anker.

Many Lc/Ypvs prices have just got out of hand. I have a set of Kph clocks that I want to rebuild. Bought a pair of Xs650 clocks to experiment with, and I may even get some of those replacement clock faces off ebay. That price is just taking the p**s Dusty

What f**king idiot pays that for a set of tampered with clocks? I bought a set off a Australian forum member for $50... All they lacked was the rewind knob I can buy for a few quid from Norbo's shop. Oherwise they were mint.

Trouble is its supply and demand and most who buy off ebay don't research value of what's on offer. Bargains are still to be had but you can't knock people for trying to make a living, he's not forcing anyone to buy them. At the end of the day if you had someone come round and offer you silly money for something would you turn them away ? It's not necessarily moral but that unfortunately is the way of the world

its getting the same with all rd-lc parts and unfortunatly buyers must take some of the blame i recently put a centre stand on the bay and in less than 6 hours i had 8 different offers to buy it some at hugely inflated prices. i decided to let the auction run, but could easily have sold it for twice what it finally sold for. what im saying is some people will pay anything for what they want and some sellers will charge them accordingly. personally if im happy with either the price i pay or the price i recieve for goods then im fine but people willing to inflate prices just because its "rare, classic, retro, ect" piss me off

I have a load more parts coming up shortly, just sorting through them, they will be on here first at hopefully sensible prices - gone off ebay for selling as its a lot of hassle at times
Anyone after a set of Microns for an LC - they are in very nice nick with removeable end cans, they have been sprayed black but don't look to have any damage on them. The end can's have some dents in them in one place, looks like they have been fitted to a YPVS I think, but as I say the end cans are replaceable

Ive dealt with both those guys . About a year ago I bought some nice stuff at a fair price from Koll . Since then he seems to have gone mad with his prices . I went to see the guy in Guildford and the bike he had for sale . It was a very very early 4LO , early pipes carbs and barrels . Couldnt even start it due to a mouse nest in the airbox . Told me he wanted £3500 for it in one piece or broken up .

This all seems to happen like Clockwork. If there 'Ain't No audience.. then there Ain't No Show' LC's in North America are fetching 1/3rd to 1/2 (maybe) of what people in Museum England seem willing to pay. Which seems, to me , to be more than a bit strange, even if only for the variance in disposable income.

If buying NOS spares I compare the price of the same thing off my 08 hornet. And if its in the same ball park, I think its acceptable. There are lots of people getting these bikes who had one back in the day and it looks like their mortgages are paid off, kids left the nest etc, so they more than likely have funds available. I usually stick to 2 sellers of parts, 1 is a damp person on here and the other is on the a/c forum, and I cannot believe how cheap and good quality the parts are!! The lock set thing is extracting the urine.

Got to agree guys ,I'm new to this, having been watching 2strokes for sale since last November, lc 350's have always held good money up to ridiculous, 250's are more steady price wise ,with the odd one asking ridiculous money, the real problem seems to lie with second hand parts, with recent parts apparently being sold for OMG prices on E bay, £200 + for a mirror etc , would hate to think that breakers are going to hang on to all there parts because they expect there parts to go up , it's not only the yams, has anyone noticed x7's have risen in price recently and kh triples that no-one wanted a few years ago are now stupid money, hoping to keep it real ,Gringo

As long as the ignition lock, petrol cap and seat lock are the originals then kp motorcycles in leeds can change them to one key and it ain't going to cost you £170
