Indeed so, I think that bikes like that are too individual to achieve that sort of money.

It's worth any amount that someone wants to pay for it

It's worth any amount that someone wants to pay for it 2ND THAT look at all the work that as gone into the rebuild if you had to pay that to a bike shop it would be 30 per hour then there is the parts cost but we all forget about o many hours we put into doing these bike up from scrap 7k is a lot but it is a nice bike and you will get people out there that cant even change a spark plug but wants a bike like this ..

I may be the odd one out but it's a bit too blingy for my tastes. I'm no expert or dealer but I'm guessing it will be for sale for a while at that price but as the saying goes "there's one born every minute"

There is some real nice lc's out there with lots of nice original touches. Done by people with really clever ideas but £7000 for this I'm sorry you have got to be kidding! You could build a copy easy for less money by looking at the photos unless I'm missing something.

Yup no carbs so not even a runner, also no pictures of the left hand side of the bike has it been down the road ;D another fekin chancer, you'd have to be a right mug to pay 7K for that, that may be what it cost to build but not what it's worth. My hybrid cost 6K & 2 years work but I bet it's only worth about 3 & 1/2 and there's a lot more imagination & skill involved than in that

Leaks oil too, hence the drip tray under it! They aren't PWK carbs, look more like big Mikunis possibly VM34's or similar. Not enough attention to detail on the bike - brake hose guides upside down, rad overflow hose 'routed' down the side of the bike (ffs!), no rear right belly pan mount and too much blingy tat on it for me.

ok, go on, you've twisted my arm, I'll take your £7k for my bike.... if I was offered even £4k for mine I'd be thinking very hard about it and I know its been a nut and bolt rebuild including a complete engine overhaul, everything done inc crank etc - god knows how many hours I put into the bike as well !

It's described as a show bike. No information on it's mechanical condition, the wheels may not even turn. It looks pretty though!

yeah and no mention of it winning any prizes, which suggests its not that great anyway.
I saw an RD400F up for sale recently. the guy wanted £7k for that, however, he had about a dozen awards/prizes for it and it was as original and has new condition as you could hope to find or see, now even I thought it was probably worth it - and yes it did run, plus he had every photo and receipt for everything on the bike, I think he had spent nigh on £6k doing the build !

Saw that when it was displayed at the classic car show last year (not the one just gone) and to be fair it did look nice, with obviously a lot of time and money having gone into it ...... is it worth the asking price? Hard to say, if someone is willing to pay it then yes, but there were other lc's on show that were far more appealing .

Show bike means nothing apart from it's been displayed on a Club stand at a show. Admittedly it's very clean and a lot of work has gone into it but it's really nothing special. However, if someone is prepared to pay that amount then good luck to him

Might also help him if he advertised it in the correct section instead of parts

Personaly I think it Gorgeous and a most out standing bike with lots of time and effort put in to it . and allthough at the side view i did think whats that on the tank , i think standing up you would planley see the art work on the tank and that alone mostlikely cost a couple of hundred if not more . Dont think i would go 7K for it but i understand why hes asking a lot hes most likley spent a fortune on the bike.

I totally agree it's very nice and obviously had a lot of time and money spent on in but..... If you're trying to sell a bike like that at top money, you've at least got to put upto date high resolution pictures and at least some of the important details about the bike ??

Maybe he doesn't want to sell it .. he's just saying 'oooo look at my bike!'
