hi all, although im a bit of a self confessed anorack i am toying with the idea of fitting some digital gauges and straight bars to my 250 lc. ive been looking at the Koso db01 unit. Has anyone gone down this road or have any info on this particular unit ie are they fairly easy to fit and accuracy etc etc.
thanks Davey

Hey Davey, did you end up using digital gauges? If so, what was the outcome? I'm looking at aftermarket dials for my 82 250LC

Yep got a koso rx2n on 350lc and currently fitting a db02 with idiot light surround on my mongrel 250 lc rx2n not to bad to fit but instructions bloody nightmare lol we couldn't get the rpm to work until we hard wired the supply to the orange ht coil wire the temp sender is a direct fit for lc head and I used there speedo drive so u use stock speedo cable which changes from a mechanical drive to an electronic driver the speedo drive ratio is I believe 2.7 to1 we've also set up the shift lights etc it took 2 days of fiddling but all good Andy

Looking at doing this myself to my 1982 Rd350LC, can you post up any pictures of the units mounted to the bikes, more interested in the side profile when fitted to the yokes....

May be able to in a couple of weeks I'm computer useless lol my 250 runs honda forks and yokes so we just cut a piece of ally plate to go round the ignition switch then bent it up until I liked the look the 350 we made up to ally brackets which bolted through the original clock mount holes to be honest the db02 unit is far neater and if using stock headlight the wiring goes inside nicely

Yeah fotos would be great...I'm still not completely convinced. I reckon a NOS set of RD400 / 350's would look tuff as fk. I just bought a NOS speedo on ebay but it was 3am and didnt notice it was MPH Here in Aus were KPH. Bummer.

I agree...Nothing stock about my build. Just think 70's free standing gauges look well 'ard...And big twin headlights too. Just like I remember when I was a teenager and saw mags of the Essex boys on the back wheel! Would like to see fotos tho Andy...Will post mine soon enough.

I've got a mate who is computer wise so I will get him to post pics he isn't back in uk until 24th I've built these as a 50th birthday present to myself the 350 was easy but the mongrel with single side swing arm etc was a bit of a challenge lol but they are built to be ridden and enjoyed just spent an hour moving them into a miniature showroom complete with a bar lol all the creature comforts for the winter
